Careers in Graphic Design

For graphic design 4 I was tasked to research a career of my choice in the industry. The career I chose was User Interface Designer.

As you would guess, A user interface designer does exactly that, designs websites, apps, and anything else a user would interact with. While not the same as a UX designer, they design the same sort of systems so need to be aware of how users will interact, get frustrated, and how to avoid the usual pitfalls of nice looking but bad to use design.

Like other graphic design jobs, you need prior experience in the industry, and for this job specifically need to have HTML, CSS, and JS experience.

An entry level ui designer salary is averaged to be around 85k per year. Educationally you probably need a bachelors degree, with design and/or computer science being good pathways. As far as the position itself, its expected to be a more and more important role as the internet grows, though AI might throw a slight wrench into that. Either way, as long as computers are a thing people will need ui designers.
